Vigil AAD

Yes mine did that when I first received it back in 2008 I think. Unfortunately this was AFTER the rigger had installed it!

Was sent back to Vigil and a new one shipped out right away.

However, I think Vigil only offer a 12 month warranty (possibly?) so not sure what the situation will be with an older one.

Mine did it the day before my 'live' jumps during my AFF-I course. I pulled it that night and Vigil in Deland had one out and in my hands within a day or two.

Mine was fairly new I believe, so your mileage may vary.

According to the Vigil rigger's manual

If you have a start-up problem with a permanent display of the ‘’HELLO’’ message, replacing the control unit will most of the time solve the problem.

Also, according to that manual there is a two year warranty.
