MountainRigger 0 #1 August 4, 2014 has anyone ever had a Vigil, (DOM 2005) stick in the "HELLO" mode?.....and if so any info re: this as to why and any fix for it?....besides of course sending it in for service/....BTW pulled the unit until resolved..and also sent e-mail to Vigil awaiting their response.....Thanks!....Mark
samlee 0 #2 August 4, 2014 Yes mine did that when I first received it back in 2008 I think. Unfortunately this was AFTER the rigger had installed it! Was sent back to Vigil and a new one shipped out right away. However, I think Vigil only offer a 12 month warranty (possibly?) so not sure what the situation will be with an older one. MountainRigger 0 #3 August 4, 2014 Thanks Sam....I'm sure this will end up back at Vigil....but I want some input from the field as well......take care and Blue Skies!
theonlyski 3 #4 August 4, 2014 Mine did it the day before my 'live' jumps during my AFF-I course. I pulled it that night and Vigil in Deland had one out and in my hands within a day or two. Mine was fairly new I believe, so your mileage may vary."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Southern_Man 0 #6 August 4, 2014 According to the Vigil rigger's manual If you have a start-up problem with a permanent display of the ‘’HELLO’’ message, replacing the control unit will most of the time solve the problem. Also, according to that manual there is a two year warranty."What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
