Container and canopy size question??

I have a javelin odyssey J1K with a sabre2 150 currently in it. The manufacturer says it will fit a 135, but will it fit a 120? What about a Safire 129?

Did you call them? What did they say?

Im no expert, but I play one on the internet. From what Ive gathered, going slightly smaller should be alright for belly flying. If you are free flying, you might need to be wary of things being too lose and opening prematurely.

A J1KS is sized for 170 F111, a J1KL is sized for 190 F111. It sounds like you might already be at on the smaller end of your limits.

I would ask some riggers or coaches at your DZ for a more thorough opinion. Chances are, you need to downsize your container.

Freefly consideration makes sense. The manufacturer said 135-150. I currently pack a 150ZP and the fit is tight, so I believe a 135 would fit, but didn't know if it was just a recommendation or if anyone knows if a 120 is possible.
