Cleaning the pads inside a Cookie G2

Recommended Posts

I searched for an answer but came up empty. The pads inside my G2 have gotten gross and sweaty but are not removable to be washed. Anyone have any ideas on how to clean them thoroughly without damaging the helmet or glue that holds them in place?

I just wash the entire thing. Dunk it in a sink, or shower, and clean it with the soap you prefer. Wash it and rinse it thoroughly, mash as much water out of it as you can with a towel, then hang it up.

As the water pools inside the helmet, mash that part again to soak up more water, then turn the helmet on the hangarl.

If you can point a fan into it, that helps immensely.

Good luck.

The biggest part is to keep blotting it with a towel as you air dry it. You want that bad boy to be 100% dry after washing. I put mine in the sunlight but inside. If you air it out outside, it could end up stinking like the great outdoors forever. Especially here in FL where the humidity is so high [:/]
