When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Sure he was a pilot in the National Guard. Well, when he wasn't AWOL anyway. Technically though, he deserted since he was absent over 30 days.

billvon 2,355 #7 October 3, 2002 >Who would win? What would happen: George would come to the fight with an RPG launcher, an M-16 and a Glock 17. Saddam would have a revolver with two wet bullets. They would turn and walk 20 paces. Bush would walk about 17, lose count and turn, to find a gun held on him. He would open fire and utterly annihilate his opponent, only to find he had killed Saddam's second in command instead. He would also find his Glock missing. Shots would ring out from behind him, and both Bush and Cheney would be wounded as they scrambled for cover. Their Army escort would get them out of there, and Bush would call in an airstrike in the general area. They would hit a wedding instead, so Bush would bomb Baghdad in an attempt to get Hussein. Two years later Hussein's son would be running Baghdad II. Hussein himself would make the occasional threatening videotape to be leaked to the press, threatening the US with nuclear weapons. Bush and Cheney would be asking Congress to OK a war with Pakistan since that whole Iraq thing didn't work out so well.
