Abedy 0 #7 September 27, 2012 QuoteWOT is a user rated site tool and no one has yet to login and rate the aforementioned site. I can't make out what you want to express by this sentence but blame it on me not speaking English as my native language. Nevertheless: Wikipedia is also a project entirely based on user activity. Just to give an example. WOT is not easy to fool, see here As for the aforementioned site: I am just reporting what I was shown running WOT with my browser (Opera). It might be the rating was manipulated so in this case the owners and their users should take appropriate action. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. BIGUN 1,233 #8 September 27, 2012 The point I was trying to make, but obviously missed was, that according to the second hyperlink you left, "Usually in reputation systems each rating is weighted equally and reputations are computed as the average of all ratings." Therefore, if no has [to date] rated the site, then it will have a zero rating. If one person rated it at a 5, then the average is a five. No one has rated the site so it remains at a zero. That is not an indicator of a site or the customer service value. What if no one rated Google on WOT... then they would have a similar scoring. Personally, I don't see WOT surviving very long.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Heh, heh! WOT has been around for years and is well trusted. Because it - and this you seem to have missed - does NOT work the way written above. It meticulously weighs each vote according to an analysis of the user's rating behaviour from several aspects in order to determine their reliability. Furthermore, a rating will only be given if a sufficient number of votes have been cast. Thus, WOT avoids the problems of "usual" rating systems and is much harder to fool. The sky is not the limit. jurgencamps 0 #10 September 27, 2012 The site I mentionned has notting to do with www.compal.be. They just sell or have solled the lazybags and happen to have the right set of pictures on their site. Notting more or notting less.
Abedy 0 #11 September 27, 2012 Oops, so indeed my remark about "not answering" doesn't make sense in this regard. Sorry about that. I checked the rating of compal.be and learned they are rated "good" regarding trustworthiness -> clickyThe sky is not the limit. The ground is.
