When they come for you to take your guns will you:

Recommended Posts

Ok lets see where the gun fans REALLY stand. This should be nice and controversial. With all the noise about gun control I figure someday they WILL try it...ban everything and run around collecting all guns. Make it nice and simple. They keep records of every gun sold so they already know what you have and will come for you. If you're not police or military and you refuse to surrender your guns or are caught with one, go to prison. period. Do you cooperate or not? Where do you draw the line and say "this far, no further"? This ought to be good.

Can you edit that poll? You left out the other option:
I don't own any guns, so it wouldn't affect me.

(yes, there ARE people out in the world who actually don't own even a single gun!!!:o)

Answer is.....) B.

Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky

How would they come to take your guns if you didn't have any? Your suggestion doesn't make sense. Kinda like looking for the "I don't use them, I am a man" answer in the "What brand of tampon do you prefer?" poll.

But the UN has been for at least 30 years.

Which is one of the reasons the UN will never have control over the US

Unfortunately all of my (post registration) artillery was at my friends house that burned down, or in my canoe that upset in unexpected whitewater, or was stolen from my house, while I was on vacation, etc...

Well, then they won't be coming for your guns, so why would you need to answer? What are you going to do when they take your polls away? ;)

i didn't vote because the scenario i think will happen isn't there, the gov't isn't planning on now, or ever to come and dissarm law abiding americans.

you have far more faith in the government and its "concern" for the rights of the individual than i. Its a creeping oppression, but its surely there.

They already have.

Certain firearms are now under a confiscation order. This, also posted on a state-run web site. California residents must turn in their SKS rifles by 1/1/2000 -- precisely the Y2K rollover date -- or face criminal prosecution. Recently-enacted legislation mandates this confiscation, calling it a "buyback" program and offering to reimburse gun owners $230 per "relinquished" rifle.

Here's another order where they don't even reimburse you.

CA Confiscation Order

Also check out the 2002 Defense Authorization Bill
http://www.americanfreepress.net/Police_State/Gun_Confiscation_Legislation_P/gun_confiscation_legislation_p.html

And they've been trying to get it done nationally for years:

Quote

Mr. Speaker, I rise to introduce the Public Health and Safety Act of 1993 on behalf of myself and nine of my colleagues: Mel Reynolds, Bill Clay, Jerry Nadler, Eleanor Holmes Norton, John Lewis, Nydia Velazquez, Ron Dellums, Carrie Meek, and Alcee Hastings. This legislation, first introduced in the Senate by Senator John Chafee, would prohibit the transfer or possession of handguns and handgun ammunition, except in limited circumstances. It would go a long way toward protecting our citizens from violent crime.
The need for a ban on handguns cannot be overstated. Unlike rifles and shotguns, handguns are easily concealable. Consequently, they are the weapons of choice in most murders, accounting for the deaths of 25,000 Americans in 1991.

A 6-month grace period would be established during which time handguns could be turned in to any law enforcement agency with impunity and for reimbursement at the greater of $25 or the fair market value of the handgun . After the grace period's expiration, handguns could be turned in voluntarily with impunity from criminal prosecution, but a civil fine of $500 would be imposed.

Exemptions from the handgun ban would be permitted for Federal, State, or local government agencies, including military and law enforcement; collectors of antique firearms; federally licensed handgun sporting clubs; federally licensed professional security guard services; and federally licensed dealers, importers, or manufacturers.

in both of these cases, the "primaries" broke various laws. they deserved to be dissarmed. if you a law abiding citizen, even if the order does come to visit your house and collect your arms, it more than likely won't happen. the "good ol' boy" system still exists in some parts of the world. i'm not afraid to disclose, display or use the arms that i have, the gov't is well aware of all of my weapons, i'm also in possession of a CCL, this is just not a big deal, unless of course you've a mind to be paranoid.

and youd be amazed how easily YOU could be quilty of "breaking the law" and "in need of disarmament" have you actually READ all the laws you could concievably be charged with breaking if it was decided by any government agency that you were a "threat"?? you dont have to be paranoid to recognize the gross abuse & misuse of power that has and continues to occur every day.

guns?
what a hell
explain 2 me for what a hell r good?

...If I must.....
A gun is a device which fires a projectile at high speed usually by confined combustion pressure. It is good for hunting for food shooting for pleasure/target practice and killing/maiming/disabling other humans.
This last use can be very beneficial to you and your family when the other human in question is whacked on crack, not responding to diplomatic overtures and trying ferociously to hurt/kill/maim you and your family because you have a dvd player he needs to take from you and sell to support his crack habit.
...any questions?

I pray for your children that one day you are not a "primary". How many people died because of some careless FBI and ATF agents?

What were the crimes bad enough to burn that many children in a house? Shoot an infant in a mother's arms? Sounds like we need Goverment control not gun control.

In both instances the "primaries" could have been picked up WITHOUT bloodshed. It sounds like you put alot of faith in people you dont know. Good luck.

In what sense? I don't think its a question of "is" or "isn't" as much as "to what degree?"

It may have influence, but not control. So, I think we're on the same page.
