Many recomend Food Grade Silicon. Ace seems to be a popular brand. Oil based lubes will attract and hold onto dirt, so maybe no PAM.

The best, IMO.

If you go to Deland, Check with Chutingstar Rigging...J or Miki or Nathan should be able to either sell you some or tell where to get it nearby.

My reality and yours are quite different.

I've been using Du Pont Teflon Multi-Use for years with very good results. Spray it on a rag, wipe down the cables (cutaway or reserve), and slide the cables back in. It goes on wet, then dries quickly to a very low-friction, non-sticky finish.

If the local ACE store doesn't carry it they can order the food grade silicon. It doesn't contain any petroleum distillates

CRC Industrial Food Grade Silicone. No. 03040 Green 10 oz can will last a long time. A little on a paper towel or rag will do both cables.
