James525 0 #1 September 1, 2011 Since I got my A licence I've been doing little jumping and saving for my first rig. I've got a couple of grand together (£) so I'm ready but with the off-season is approaching, would I get a better deal waiting for autumn proper or even later? I'm patient for the right price (and not quite ready for a 190 anyway). What good places are there to buy rigs in the UK? My DZ has a kitstore with a few so I'll try that next time I'm down there. My skydiving - http://unstable-exits.blogspot.com/
degeneration 5 #2 September 1, 2011 If you don't use it already, www.ukskydiver.co.uk has classifieds for kit sales, so is always worth keeping an eye on. Other places are the kit sales notice boards at various DZs. If you are close to several, give them all a visit and see what's advertised. As for time of year... I don't know, so can't help on that one.Sky Switches - Affordable stills camera tongue switches and conversion adaptors, supporting various brands of camera (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic). virgin-burner 1 #3 September 1, 2011 also, talk to your buddies at the dz; very often someone has recently downsized or has a rig laying around they're willing to sell..“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.
