GoPro Helmet Mounts

Recommended Posts

It's some sticky stuff dude. Clean the helemt well before and you should be good. I've jumped all season with just the adhesive it's it's still firmly in place. I saw a video once whenre they were pulling on the mount from different angles with lots of weight and the bracket was physically breaking before the sticky would let go.

I had the same concern and did not want to take the risk of losing the camera so I drilled 2 holes and bolted it in place.

Please understand that it is recommended to have some kind of release mechanism for the helmet (chin cup cutaway). I’m working on it right now.

I'm only using the adhesive mount and it seems to stick on to the helmet just fine. I had one opening which was so hard that I fractured a rib and the camera slammed against the helmet even though the screw was tightened as hard as I could and the mount stayed on just fine.

I was setting up my new Go Pro on the weekend and just did not feel 100% on the helmet mount contact area etc. I have decided to go with a helmet mount from Cookie Helmets. Bolts to the helmet at 4 points. Adjust 360 degs. Low profile. Waiting for it now.
