Jah, but it sounds like a hymn, rather than scripture. Do you know its origin? I'm asking because I don't know. It reads like Old Testament, like Psalms, but it doesn't look familiar. And because it's in Latin at the end and it rhymes in English (the Psalms were of course Hebrew songs), it leads me to think it's from a hymnal.

I second that. There were 3 scenes in "Saving Private Ryan" when Barry Pepper recited prayers while sniping, and he doesn't utter those words in any of them.
