Deepest condolences to all who knew him, and most especially his family. My prayers are with him, his family, and loved ones.

Joe Morgan, long time Perris/Elsinore jumper of late Deland, died yesterday of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Joe was cool.[:/]

Joe was one of those guys who started jumping when parachutes were made out of wood and had thousands of jumps. I believe he was about 60. I saw him at the dz on Saturday and got a big hug from him. He didn't seem any different than usual. Joe will definitely be missed in Deland. [:/]

If anyone has details on funeral or toher arrangements, please email me, i know that folks from Z-Hills will be interested in attending and helping out.

Joe was 57. I knew Joe very will. I was just thinking about the time that he broke his femur by being cut off by someone in the main landing area while I was working in Deland. Even when he was busted up, he still hung out at the DZ. Super nice guy. I will miss him very much. He was jumping shortly thereafter. Amazing thing. My condolences to the whole family in Deland. We will miss him. Real cool guy.

:( I was fortunate enough to have been able to hang out with Joe and some friends on Saturday evening to watch the sunset and made a jump with him Sunday afternoon. He always made me feel welcome at the DZ from the first time I arrived. I will miss him dearly.

Blue Skies Joe...

Sandy

Enjoy here while you're here because there's no here there.

Like Krystal said, the BEST hugs and he always liked to sneak a kiss in there too ;)

When I started jumping over 5 years ago, and had zero gear, he always let me borrow what I needed. Suits, helmets, alti's, he was happy to help a young girl out.

See ya on the flip side Joe, I will have a hug and a kiss waiting for you.

Joy
