Hunt_Joshua_G 0 #1 July 23, 2010 Hey all. I’m about to start My AFF training again after a 2 year absence due to the economy. I am looking into getting my own gear not long after i get my Class A License and am wondering what would be a good choice for a new jumper. What is a good size canopy both main and reserve. is there any tips you all can share on getting gear?"When the people look like ants-PULL, When the ants look like people-PRAY." Bodhisattva420 0 #5 July 23, 2010 Get an old Dolphin and send it in with $260 to Altico to have it modified for freeflying. Then find a couple of used canopies and stuff them in that bitch!

GLIDEANGLE 1 #7 July 23, 2010 As others have said, it is too early for a rig. If you are desperate to buy something, an altimeter is a reasonable first step. Check w/ your instructors about what slits they allow for students. Goggles are a great first purchase too. Again, check w/ instructors first (they may not allow tinted lenses on students). The choices we make have consequences, for us & for others!
