It was the car I used to own… a Toyota MR2, MkII and it was G registered (letter denotes year in UK – or did anyway). I’ve used it as my e-mail address for years and years and it’s kinda stuck. Now I know if I type it into virtually any website I’m likely to have joined I’ll have a login without trying to remember what odd name I’d used this time. It’s anonymous enough for the net, but memorable enough for my friends to spot me, and well, it means something to me. Or at least that's my screen name.

My avatar is simply a flame logo I pulled off the net cos I'm too lazy to find a mug shot. Flames cos that's what my FF gear and rig look like.

Lets see. My name is David, most folks just call me Dave (I really don't care, call me David or Dave).

I'm also an Aggie, bleed maroon...an Aggie is someone who is or went to Texas A&M University, but its really more encompasing then that. Although, I'm not going to take the time to go into the details this time around.

I choose mine for my yahoo account didn't want one with loads of numbers on the end, just thought of supervole, its good because I can sign in everywhere with it.
Then once I saw this and thought that it was cool,

http://www.antenna.nl/wise/449-450/1.html

Super mice!
Scientists of the University of Georgia studying wildlife in contaminated wastes around Chernobyl have made a sinister discovery - voles that thrive on radioactive pollution.
Radioactivity and other pollutants usually trigger mutations in animal genes, which weaken the species by killing its members off before they can reproduce. But a species of vole is breeding healthily and producing ever-stronger offspring beside the Ukraine's Chernobyl plant, which exploded in 1986 spewing out radioactive poison in the world's worst nuclear disaster.

The scientists examined the supervole's genetic make-up and found it was mutating at an incredible rate. Since genetic diversity is what ensures the survival of a species, the supervoles were actually becoming more resilient.

Scientists measure the rate of genetic mutation by looking at the gene which codes for a protein called cytochrome b, found in the cell's mitochondria. Under normal circumstances, the cytochrome b gene changes at a rate of one mutation in every one million letters of genetic code per generation. But the supervole's cytochrome b gene was producing one new mutation for every 10,000 letters of DNA code per generation. One female vole, which built her nest beneath a monument praising the Soviet workers that built the Chernobyl power station, produced five offspring, of which three had newly mutated versions of the cytochrome b gene. Voles of the same species living 30 km away, outside the contaminated area, had normal rates of mutation. "We're seeing more diversity in the mitochondrial DNA between two individual Chernobyl voles than we see between two different species, such as mice and rats," said Chesser, one of the scientists.

I love daisies...but the name Daisy was already taken by someone who hadn't logged on in a long time and has never posted, so i figured it'd be ok to take the name and change it up a bit and not have to worry bout anyone confusing me with someone

And well, since life sometimes leaves me dazed....i decided to join the two...and voila! the name daizey began...its funny now cause most people think its my first name, but its not even remotely close...

I wasn't always daizey here though, in the beginning, i was sunny007..but that was too much like sunshine, and i wanted to be unique....thats also a reason why I went with daizey with a Z instead of just daisy or daisey....

*daizey*

Well my really name is a French name (Christophe) and when I was a kid growing up in switzerland, I could not say my name right to save my life...
So I would always say [french accent] "Je m'appelle kitof..."[/french accent] and it stuck to me!
1976 is the year I was born.
The avatar pic is a famous french comics character named "titeuf", which in french sorta sounds the same a "Kitof"

It actually started by my third grade class being mean to the new guy. They found out I was born in Alaska and all of a sudden I am an eskimo. They're kids. What did they know. The funny thing is my ancestry is mostly Mimbres Apache from southern New Mexico/Mexico area. I tell everyone that I am Mexican-American because it's easier.

My nick came from an old BBS I used to run before the internet was around. It was named "The Conscious Party" after Ziggy Marleys first disc. My sysop name was "rastamon". Soon it shortened to just "rasta".

Then I became addicted to a band named "King's X" whom I've become friends with over the years. Since I am such a fan folks started calling me an "X-Head" so I just added that to the front of my "rasta" nick and there ya have it!! :)
My Avatar is from the Homies website...homies.tv. A cool little fictional group of Hispanic figures.

When I was little, I had a Raggidy Ann doll that I loved so much, I decided to rip her arm off. After that, I wanted to be Raggidy Ann (but keep both my arms), so whenever my parents would ask my name, I would answer, "Raggail," a combination of Raggidy and my middle name.

The name stuck and changed to Raggidy/Raggdoll over the years. Honestly, I wish people would call me Raggidy, since the name is unique, but those who know the name and aren't family somehow think it's an insult to me. Trust me, if I invite anyone to call me by my childhood nick, it's a huge compliment.

Though during the teenage years, I didn't enjoy it quite so much. Imagine being a 14 year old girl and having adults call you "Rag" in front of other teenagers. Nothing like a little embarrassment to help prepare a girl for those adult years.

And i don't call myself half-ass anything. I take pride in the fact that we aren't A&M Stephenville.B|;)

EDIT: to add. Where the hell is aTm? 176 miles from TSU!!!
