basecase 0 #1 April 13, 2010 I was wondering if anyone out there is currently jumping a pd pulse in a javelin NJ. I have an NJ with a sabre 120 and am thinking about upsizing due to some health issues. I have talked to PD and Sun Path and can't really get a clear answer on compatibility (probably and maybe were their answers). I don't really want to pay to have one sent out to demo if I know there is no way it's going to fit, however i realize the easiest way to answer this is to try to pack one in my container. Hopefully someone else has already done this! Thanks!

likestojump 3 #3 April 13, 2010 I have packed plenty of 120 sized canopies in the NJ. I have also packed a fair amount of Silhouettes, and packed a Pulse twice. based on that I would say it will be a firm, but a doable fit. hope that's at least a bit helpful :)
basecase 0 #4 April 13, 2010 The sabre is snug, but not bursting at the seams or anything like that. It's definitely not a problem to get it in the bag, but there is not enough room to fit standard 135 without low bulk fabric.
basecase 0 #5 April 13, 2010 Was the pulse a 120 or 135. How did it fit compared to the other 120's you had packed?
likestojump 3 #6 April 13, 2010 QuoteWas the pulse a 120 or 135. How did it fit compared to the other 120's you had packed? I never packed any hybrid canopies in an NJ. I did pack hybrids in other containers. For example a I-33 Infinity was quite firm with a Sabre150, and felt the same with a Silhouette170. A brand new Radical 150 packed tighter than a Pulse 150. My statement about Pulse 135 in an NJ was based on the data above.
BillyVance 34 #7 April 13, 2010 You could probably get the 135 in, just adjust the closing loop length accordingly."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
bliston 0 #8 April 13, 2010 It should fit just fine. I temporarily put a Pulse 120 into my Vector 304 container. The Pulse 120 packed smaller than my Velo 96. The container is sized for up to a ZP 107. I imagine the larger sizes even pack up (relatively) smaller, since there is more of the new material but still the same number (and size) of line attachment points, and all the other stuff. gnasher70 1 #9 April 19, 2010 I managed to get a Pulse 170 into a container made for a 150 with no problems.
adolfocamerano 0 #10 April 22, 2010 I put a sabre 135 in an NJ but it's tight. if the canopy it's new i think that its going to be a little hard to put in the bag till the canopy start to be less slipery it's going to be good
