After skydiving culture, I FINALLY got to freefall!!!

Recommended Posts

So, after 3 yrs. of exposure to the skydiving world, 10 jumps, one freeflyer boyfriend (now ex), watching Fandango, Dropzone and Cutaway a dozen times, donning a closing-pin necklace, attending 2 boogies, posting on dz.com, getting excited in high school when I saw backpacks(they reminded me of rigs), falling in love with skydivers, staring at the sky and hypnotically being drawn to airplanes, sticking half my body out the window in someone's car driving 75 mph wanting to feel the wind, and singing "freefalling" everytime it came on the radio, I FINALLY made it to freefall!!!
YIPEEEE!!! B|:)AFter my last prcp, in which I very quickly pulled the dummy ripcord, I went up 2 hrs. later for my hop and pop--my FIRST freefall. So, I hung on the strut of the airplane for about 7-12 secs. after I was supposed to let go and pulled my own ripcord....
my JM told me I grabbed it really fast, a guy in the plane actually saw me pull it right when I left.
So, now comes the delays, which will allow me to relax more and concentrate on my arch.
Ah, freefall, now I feel like a REAL skydiver...
uh-oh...what did I get myself into???

Those short delays are so thrilling to you in a way that Tandem/AFF students surely cannot appreciate!

Thanks for getting that memory nugget to replay in my brain again.B|
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
