dcong719 0 #1 January 6, 2010 I was just wondering what I should expect to pay for my first skydiving rig (that isn't going to kill me). I have been told everything from $3000 to $6000. Also this is a lot of money for me to pay on the spot. Do many places offer financing or should I have the total amount saved up? Just looking for a little advice. I'll take all that I can get. thedude325 0 #5 January 6, 2010 I was able to cruise around for a deal. I got a barely used vector 2, sabre, and tempo reserve with an in-date AAD for about 1600. Look around.
pilot-one 0 #6 January 6, 2010 I'm not sure why every one wastes their time telling you to search the forums. Most of that information is old information. Things change. You can expect to pay upwards of $6000 for new gear. Used gear can be anywhere below that. Most places don't offer financing. I know a lot of people that take out personal signature loans but for the most part I think people just save up for it.....or sell their car or something. Bigway's deal sounds pretty good but I think he is down under so if you're in the states that might not work out but I really don't know. There probably are other places that will work with you but probably not very many.
