lemonjelly 0 #6 December 23, 2004 Really depends on whether you buy cheap shite, or spend some proper money on a 'Proper' CPU and infinitely mopre advanced operating system.************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
ChasingBlueSky 0 #7 December 23, 2004 QuoteReally depends on whether you buy cheap shite, or spend some proper money on a 'Proper' CPU and infinitely mopre advanced operating system. An AMD64 or P4 with HT are some nice CPUs that can match up with a PowerPC. Server 2003 is one of the better setups I have played with in some time. If you want to really spend some money, get yourself a RS/6000 S70 Also, 2003 can't be that bad, its what Digital Dimension used to create the VFX on Blade:Trinity. Plus, only the cool games are on PC!_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... GTAVercetti 0 #8 December 23, 2004 *** Really depends on whether you buy cheap shite, or spend some proper money on a 'Proper' CPU and infinitely mopre advanced operating system.*** My cheap computer does exactly what it needs to do; lets me program. And it comes in a neat little cube http://us.shuttle.com/ Oh and it costs about 3,000 less than your Mac. I do like Macs, but their hype ain't worth the price And the same goes for the totally overpriced iPod. Get yourself a Dell DJ (although now the battery is shorter because they made is "prettier" to compete with the iPod)Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. ChasingBlueSky 0 #10 December 23, 2004 QuoteThe game blows. Much better games out there. Sometimes I like to play the older classic games. I have 80 Atari classics on my laptop for that reason. Not all games have to have DirectX9.0b bells and whistles for them to be fun. Besides, you can't beat the price, much like America's Army - it's free!_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
