CanuckInUSA 0 #1 January 5, 2005 Canada defeated Russia 6-1 tonight to take the Men's World Junior Hockey Championship. More can be read about it here. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

bobsled92 0 #4 January 5, 2005 OH LORD! Right now any Hockey is welcome in my house. (of course I didn't get my dish yet and missed all of it) AHL is all that keeps me going now. tunaplanet 0 #5 January 5, 2005 QuoteWhat really sucked is that it started at the same time as the Orange bowl. Tell me about it. I know that I was in the ultimate dilema. It took every ounce of courage in my body to decide between the College National Championhip and the World Junior Hockey Championship. I can only pray that I made the right choice. dropdeded 0 #8 January 5, 2005 From what I've heard several NHL players are in the ECHL for the time being (which the local Bakersfield Condors are in). Gomez for one played here a couple weeks ago. Dont remember who he's with (missed that game) All in all, good hockey. dropdeded------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

Zoter 0 #10 January 5, 2005 Theres a bunch of NHL names making up for lost time over here in Europe as well.... Refreshing to see some overpaid sportsmen going back to roots and playing...for the sake of playing......not just for big bucks. I'm getting back into some hockey over here next week......been out for about 9 months (thanks to the wonderful aerobic sport of skydiving ).......first few sessions gonna be pukeville.....no doubt

ChasingBlueSky 0 #12 January 5, 2005 whats this hockey you talk about? I find that I am not missing the NHL as much as I thought I would. We still have the Wolves to cheer for and thats good enough for me. I just noticed this past weekend that there is a layer of dust on all of my hockey jerseys_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... SkyDekker 1,120 #13 January 5, 2005 QuoteRefreshing to see some overpaid sportsmen going back to roots and playing...for the sake of playing......not just for big bucks. Don't kid yourself, they are in europe for the money and the money alone. Two reasons: 1. they make more playing in Europe than not playing in the NHL 2. ONly way to stay in game shape so they can make as much as possible when the NHL starts up again. Canada now holds all major international hockey titles. No other nation has ever done that. Go Canada Go
