Guys, do you like your face better, shaved, scruffy, or bearded?

Recommended Posts

I shaved today, first time since Saturday (wow, six days?!)

I enjoy being clean shaven because I know it is more useful and approachable. (In other words, chicks would rather kiss a smooth face, in my experience, and some will require of you a smooth shave before they can have you go "there".)

However, when I see myself in the mirror, I like my face when it has about two or three days of stubble on it. It's just the aesthetic that I prefer.

How about you? Forget about what others say about you -- how do YOU prefer you to look?

I traditionally start a beard on Labor Day weekend and shave all but the stash on the first day of Spring. I like the way I look both ways. I've had my stash since Jan 29th 1969 so I wouldn't know what to do without it.

i change my look frequently to confuse people...
:D

If I shave, I suddenly look 10 years younger >:(

That's what happened when I went from Van Dyke to fresh shaved. I almost didn't recognize myself.

I think I look too babyish, soft and vulnerable-faced when I've just shaved. Sometimes I like the look, but other times I can't wait for the stubble to return. The stubble feels like it makes the face physically tougher, like a layer of leather or armor on the soft skin.

That's so funny, 'cause I myself get turned down for hugs/kisses by my 3- and 5-year old nieces if I have a scratchy face. :D

It's adorable how up-front they are about things like that. They haven't developed a sense for stating things gently. LOL! :D

I've learned, though: when they visit, stay clean-shaven for the duration.

I like guys with facial hair, mostly. I think most guys look so much stronger and masculine with facial hair:$

see attached pic of my handsome bf:

I have to admit that it feels good to ME alone, when my face hair is like Chad's. Any longer and my Scotch/Irish hairs curl into my own face and poke me in my sleep(and in 5 different colors!) Yep, that's Celtic facial Velcro(tissues and pizza cling well).

Since I'm in AFF, I have to shave daily. But on the weekends I do not shave. It gives my skin a break--makes the monday morning shave a lot nicer, as my skin has had 3 days to recover.

WOW! Your DZ is really STRICT! They make you shave for AFF?! :o

:D

When I left the Canadian Air Force in 1987, I discarded my razor and have not shaved since. If bosses refused to hire me with a beard, f&^! them!
For the last 13 years, the only jobs I could find were tandem and rigging ... with a little PFF.
May I have some sympathy here, please?
