hackish 8 #3 December 2, 2008 I've never heard of charging more. I don't think it's much extra work either. Main extra work is in manipulating all that extra nylon. -Michael
riggerrob 598 #4 December 2, 2008 We make the extra money off repairs. Tandem rigs get used hard and put away wet, and they always need some sort of sewn repair. A full inspection on a tandem main and reserve takes me most of a day and I charge accordingly.
bliston 0 #5 December 2, 2008 I charge by size for reserve repacks in central america: Q300 - if 150 square feet or less Q350 - if 150- 210 square feet Q400 - if over 210 square feet Q450 - Tandem At 7.5Q to the dollar that's $60 for a tandem - used to charge $50 for a sport rig and $70 for a tandem in the states. With the total time difference between inspecting and packing a sub 150 reserve and a tandem reserve the tandem rig owners are getting off easy. BenMass Defiance 4-wayFS website sticks!
