RossDagley 0 #1 November 12, 2008 sorry for the vague subject, but cant describe it any better! Looking at the latest uspa mag, i see i bunch of swoopers with what appears to be d-rings on the front risers. What are these for? I've never seen (noticed) them on a rig I've come into contact with. gearless_chris 1 #3 November 13, 2008 Those are the rings for the removeable slider. You can do a search on here for R.D.S. I'll research it some more now. thanks! hmm - i found a pd article on the rds (http://www.performancedesigns.com/hotnews/RDS/rds.htm), but cant seem to pin down anything on these rings or their function - could someone point me in the right direction please? AggieDave 6 #5 November 13, 2008 There are a variety of systems on the market. The best one I've seen and the one I use is the one made by Scott Roberts. Basically there are loops and cutaway cables on the slider that allow you to fully remove the slider. You can attach your d-bag and PC to the slider, so you can remove all of them in one chunk and stuff them in a pocket or in your shirt. It reduces a LOT of drag from the canopy and is extremely noticeable in the 2+:1 WL range.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
