How do you make a martini?

Martinis go well with boobies. ;)

Everything goes well with boobies, silly.

Though I'm still not a fan of martinis (I like the glasses, though).

You are quite correct. Boobies are the true mixer.

You can have it good, fast, or cheap: pick two.

hi maxx,
how about my famous wodka martini, I did at our cocktailparty at the dz ...?
(I thought you had at least one...)

3 cl stolichnaya wodka (the original!)
6 cl martini (this is why it´s called wodka-martini...)
1 cl cointreau (I like that)
with some squizz of lemon, all in a shaker with ice and:

shaken, not stirred...

Ohh yess.. How can I forget them?
I think I had maybe 1 or 2 more than I should have..

Attention: Be very careful with this mixture, you will be drunk before you know it! Be sure that everyone around you is also drinking and you won't notice.. ;)

Cheers,
Max

P.S: Thats my 400th post, I think that deserves a Vodka-Martini B|B|

I love Grey Goose & Belvedere, but recently my favorite has been Chopin.

Here is the recipe for my favorite martini:

Bottle in freezer, martini glasses as well to keep them company.

You'll need olives, the big fatty queen olives, not the little guys.

And lastly a bottle of dry vermouth.

Step 1) Hide your bottle of dry vermouth behind the toaster or microwave on the counter
Step 2) Put 3-4 olives on a drink spear
Step 3) Take out Vodka of choice and martini glass from the freezer
Step 4) Place olives spear in glass
Step 5) Pour vodka into martini glass over olives until just under the edge of the glass.
Step 6) Take dry vermouth bottle out of hiding (DO NOT OPEN)
Step 7) QUICKLY show your martini the bottle of dry vermouth and then put the bottle back, because that is as close as the dry vermouth is going to get to your martini.
Step 8) Enjoy your martini
Step 9) Repeat until unable to spell "MISSISSIPPI"

Martini's are a girls best friend if you remember some very simple rules

1) Martinis are like breasts. One isn't enough and three are waaaaay too many!

2) Don't FUCK with the olives! 2 Fat, delicious, briny, PIMENTO stuffed olives is the correct number. (See above rule about martinis)

3) Olive juice from jalepeno stuffed, blue cheese stuffed, dog turd stuffed, whatever olives just totally screws up a potentially great dirty martini.

If you gotta have the she-she olives at a party, please provide your guests with the option of some Dirty Tony's olive juice to mix with instead of that other foulness. It's like serving Nacho Cheese Doritos with your best salsa, otherwise.

4) Vermouth should only make a cameo appearance in your martini (i.e. rinse the serving glass with it and pour the excess out).

5) Rocks martinis are served in a Rocks glass. Straight up martinis are served in a martini or shallow champagne glass. Even if you are camping, martinis deserve a glass receptacle, not a plastic cup. Metal martini glasses would be okay if I could find some - sheesh!

I'll get off the bar now and go back to swilling my drinks!

Remember Dorothy Parker's classic limerick next time you enjoy a martini

I love a good martini
Two of them at Most
Because three I'm under the table
And four I'm under my host!

I'll come back and look at this thread again when my hangover is gone. Between a bottle of Belvedere, Chopin, and Grey Goose, I certainly gave it the old college try.

My favorite martini is the Cosmopolitan w/ Belvedere:

Thoroughly chill a cocktail glass.
Put ice in a shaker.
Add 1 1/2 oz. of quality Vodka.
Add 3/4 oz. of Cointreau or Triple Sec.
Add 1 1/2 tsp. of lime juice.
Add 3/4 oz. of cranberry juice.
Cover shaker and shake well.
Strain into chilled glass.
Garnish with lemon twist or lime wedge if desired.
