councilman24 36 #2 June 11, 2008 Main or reserve? Okay I know what you meant. If anybody still answers the fourth answer I'll be very surprised. I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE

phildthedildo 0 #6 June 11, 2008 a very experiened jumper (who had been a test jumper at para flite) was playing with the no pilotchute deal.had maybe 10 or so jumps on it and had been experiencing lots of problems(streamer/highspeed mal). on his fatal jump he experienced a high speed mal and apparently played with it trying to get it to open.lost track of time/altitude and finally VERY low(300 feet or so) just deployed his reserve into the mess, where it entangled. same jumper some 10 months previously, got into a similar situation where he lost track of time/ altitude and fired his reserve off low w/o cutting away.resulted in 200 ft opening. this was in mar 78 before square reserves. intoxicating substances may have been present.
