what type of pilotchute handle do you have?

Recommended Posts

Of course many people didn't really make any choice of handle -- they use whatever came with the rig.

Preferences translate into actual equipment only for those who bought a brand new rig, bought a new PC, or (very rarely?) actually had a rigger change handle types.

and what about those who have several ?
I have a PVC tupe on my Talon/Safire and a freefly pud on my Wings/Neos

That is why I vote twice, some of rigs I am jumping are either plastic or hackey. (Keep in mind that I am using student gear... if that makes a difference or not!):$[:/]

First rig (bought new, so I had a choice): Hackey.

New rig, after jumping someone else's and being really pleased with how it felt through gloves: Plastic.

It doesn't look as nice, but it just felt more positive to me. Other people's mileage will, obviously, vary.

Freefly Pud on throw out BOC. Nothing ever moves, handle stays right where it belongs. Safest bet IMO. Custom newly bought rig (5 years ago that is).
If I'd buy a used rig now, I'd have my rigger retrofit a hackey with a pud.
