Yuck not orange juice with a cold. The citric acid pisses my throat off when it is raw from coughing/sneezing.

Last year at Dublin I had the flu and drank lots of Budweiser and Nyquil. It didnt' cure my the flu but I didn't give a damn either.

3-6 ounces, throw a couple extra blankets on the bed, and sweat it out.

And crazy monkey sex. I don't know why, but when I have a cold, I'm also much more horny than usual.

I am lucky and very seldom get colds, but on the rare occasion I do (Last bad cold I had was over 4 years ago-) this is what works for me.

Dayquil and LOTS of it. Cures what ails ya and won't knock you out so you can go to work.

Many of the responses are close, but not quite right. What you need is a hot whiskey.

Procure one wine glass.
Stick 3-5 cloves into a slice of lemon.
Pour in a measure of whiskey (eg. Jameson).
Add hot, but not boiling, water.
Drop the becloved lemon into the glass.
Add honey to taste.

Perfect for a winter cold
Alternatively, find a bar with Irish staff. They'll know what you're on about.

None of the above. Eat raw garlic cloves (3 or 4 a day, you can cut them into quarters if you like, then swallow), and you'll be right as rain.

Well, thanks everyone for the advise.

I drank a lot of water, drank about 60 ml of Remy Martin Cognac and when I woke up it was all good.

However, the cold kinda came back agan so I am drinking another 60 ml of the Remy Martin V.S.O.P, I don't know what the heck that means but this thing is smooth like nice scotch.
