timber 3 #6 November 26, 2005 This is a Sukhoi SU-80GP. It is currently being developed and is similar to the M-28 Skytruck. It has a tail gate and holds 30+ jumpers. I have no idea when it might be produced and certified in the U.S. It looks like it would be a wonderful jumpship.
JumpShipGypsy 0 #7 November 27, 2005 I saw that on e-bay. I doubt that there is more than a artist rendering and a busness plan yet. Its vaporware. But it looks cool.

FrEaK_aCcIdEnT 0 #9 November 27, 2005 the specifications says its cruising speed are 267mph and the flight altitude is 19,685 feet. these are converted numbers. here is the page that contains the specifications. http://www.airshow.ru/expo/412/prod_213.htm# im not a plane expert, so would what would the flight characteristics be trying to fly slow enough during jump run? look really cool. MikeJD 0 #10 November 28, 2005 Quote im not a plane expert, so would what would the flight characteristics be trying to fly slow enough during jump run? I think that cruising speed is significantly slower than a C-130, so presumably no problem there.
