FrEaK_aCcIdEnT 0 #1 January 30, 2006 ok guys.. (and gals) i sit here pondering what i should do. I have 13 jumps so far. and just paid off my truck. that means lots more jumping going on right? well my problem is that I have been wanting something more powerful in the 4 wheel catagory and found a toyota i like. but another payment is out of the question. dont want another payment. when i purchased my truck all i could think of was doing a ls1 (V8) swap into it. for the not so technical people its a motor swap to a bigger motor for more power. now that the bastards paid for I have started jumping and have no plans of quitting EVER. on one hand if i start the process of taking on my dream of completely reforming my truck into a powerhouse with the same gas milage i get now i will severly sacrifice how much money goes towards jumping. Do i do it? <----- thats for u guys (and gals) to tell me. im torn and am leaving it up to the community Yes im scared of the outcome here. I did get to ride ina s-10 with a ls1 and a T-56 6 speed today. all i can say is i have never seen a s-10 go through 1st and 2nd walking sidways up an on ramp before nor hit 100mph that fast. Came home with the same thoughts i had when i started jumping. what is lying around that i can live without so i can get some extra cash to fund this addiction... help me people... im getting drunk since i have no solution right this minute. i cant edit the poll stuff, so FYI if i go for the dream, it wont keep my from jumping, just wont be near as many jumps... JoeBobinNC 0 #4 January 30, 2006 I'm a reformed gear head myself. I wish I had all the money back that I shit away fucking around with cars. Your truck runs and is paid for,so leave it be and use the money for something else. It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice. fenceline 0 #6 January 30, 2006 When I started jumping I had a sport truck that was on the way to being a very nice daily driver, show worthy ride. About 100 jumps later, I sold the truck, was driving a fuel efficient Honda Civic, and jumping much more. Thats being said, I've since sold the Civic, have another daily driver cruiser on the go, and still jump lots. My answer... drink more beer. Its the cause and solution to all of humanities troubles... J

sundevil777 99 #10 January 30, 2006 Quotei could understand a v6, but im sportin a 2.2L 4 banger That's plenty of engine. Much better to not be tempted to drive aggressively.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
skybytch 259 #11 January 30, 2006 Lemme put it this way. In early December, 1999, I purchased a 1968 Camaro; 250 straight 6 and a Powerglide (fewer produced than the RS/SS combo that year), front bench seat (fewer produced than... well, than most of the cooler options). My intent was to slowly restore it. In early February, 2000, I did a skydive. Today I still skydive, but... I don't own a Camaro anymore.

As I said, you are better off to not be tempted. Not nearly as much fun, but you know you're better off. I went with the smaller engine for my accord (2.3 liter), and only have a 70 hp 1.5 liter in my old civic.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Diversgodown 0 #20 January 30, 2006 I'm an avid off-roader, and gear head. I love trucks jacked up with big blocks. but with gas prices going up and sinking 60-70 bucks to fill up a tank. FUCK THAT. I had one truck that was jacked up with a four bangger and that thing could off road like nothin else. I think I'm going to get a four bangger jeep you can still have a lot of off road fun and save on gas, and they are easy to work on. IMHO Save the money for jumping. nothing else like it in the world. Keep on keepin on...... ***Glory Favors the Bold***

Sell your pussy truck, buy a cheap car, and spend that $$ on skydiving and tunnel time You can have it good, fast, or cheap: pick two.
