AggieDave 6 #6 October 23, 2002 I had a friend who is a singer song writer who played every Wednesday night here in College Station at Zapatos (a bar). He'd play his own songs mixed within the a set of songs everyone knew and loved, all played on the acoustic guitar. Here's some of the ones that were always fun to hear and sing along with: House of the Rising Sun (note: he always played it last since he broke a string on it atleast 90% of the time) Boy Named Sue Mr. Bojangles Mary Jane's Last Dance Flowers On The Wall Rocky Raccoon The Road Goes On Forever (and the party never ends) The Front Porch Song There were many many more, and the stuff he wrote and sung was really good. If you don't know the artist or don't know the song on some of these and/or you'd like some MP3s of his stuff, let me know. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
