AggieDave 6 #1 July 12, 2006 Well, which is it? Personally I'd rather be cold, since its easier for me to warm up then it is to cool down. That and I've had heat stroke before and so I've found its much easier for me to get heat sick now. On the flip side, cold, REAL cold isn't fun. Both aren't too bad as long as you're prepaired for it. Personally I'm kinda fond of a constant 73F. Now if our government would just quit playing around and put that weathr satillite to its real use, we could have that.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." PLFXpert 0 #3 July 12, 2006 Hot. But, I'm particular about when I like to sweat. I don't care much for sweating, unless it is the result of a few carefully selected activities.I'm not a fan of hot tubs or saunas.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. matt1215 0 #6 July 12, 2006 Cold, hands down!! I kept my windows open for all of Florida's winter and my a/c's been running since February. The Florida Power & Light Company loves me . I much preferred the climates in Denver and Korea .
masterrig 1 #7 July 12, 2006 I prefer cold. 73 - 75 degrees. Out here in West Texas, that ain't too damned likely! Chuck
pincheck 0 #8 July 12, 2006 i like your answer its probably a case of wanting what you don't get much off. A person in a dry hot place may look for cooler climate where as someone from a colder area wishes for hot weather You never find yourself wishing for a type of weather and when you get it saying "its too damn hot/cold/ wet /dry" Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
Conundrum 1 #9 July 12, 2006 I'd have to say cold; and for your same reason. I can throw on some more clothes or a jacket to warm up, but sometimes you just can't cool down enough!

jdthomas 0 #15 July 12, 2006 Well we just got back from the horse barn. we cleand the trailer and washed the horse up today. All things that are easier to do when it is hot outside. I am not saying it's great to muck a trailer or scrub a horse that does not like water in the heat. but washing and mucking in the cold just flat out sucks ass. bring on the heat! scrublink 0 #17 July 12, 2006 Don't much like any temps above 65 F. 40-50 is good if you're doing any physical work. After it gets past 75 I have a hard time getting motivated if I'm not getting paid.

MF42 0 #19 July 12, 2006 Of course, indoor temperatures should always be pleasantly moderated to the upper 60s or lower 70s. I interpret the original question as, "Would you rather work outside in the cold or the heat?" Spent one Oklahoma summer in an iron foundry and the next OK summer in a lumberyard. The past few winters have seen me frequently out on various IL, WI, IN, IA, and MI airport ramps for hours at a time. Given a choice between the extremes, I gotta go with the cold. Heat just makes me want to curl up and sleep. Cold motivates me to keep moving. Matt
lurch 0 #20 July 12, 2006 Cold. I've lived in Manila and Sacramento and was comfortable in neither location. Every time I return to my beloved climate in New Hampshire and wander outside in crispy clear comfy brisk 55 degree weather, I feel like "HMMMM!" (picture a big smug happy hum) Air tastes MUCH better lightly chilled... I even enjoy those super-subarctic -25 days, if there aren't too many of them. Theres something very stimulating about standing outside in a giant bearlike megatrenchcoat with just your face exposed, comfortable in an environment so hostile it'd kill a naked man in 30 minutes flat.Live and learn... or die, and teach by example. MF42 0 #22 July 12, 2006 Know what I don't miss about OK summers? I don't miss burning my fingers on the car door handle, burning my ass on the seat, burning the fingers again on the steering wheel, and then just when I think the ordeal is over as I'm walking away from the car, I put the keys in my pocket and burn my leg!
