caribadive 0 #3 April 18, 2007 Why do you assume I have tracking problems, because I asked about tracking pants?

hjumper33 0 #5 April 18, 2007 I got some birdman pants as a present and they are really fun to track in, but really they are only super useful if.. 1. You are tracking all by yourself and just want to see how far you can go. 2. You are base jumping. 3. You are on a bigway track and like to surf burbles and need a quick way to catch back up. If using them to try to stay with a tracking dive, they actually take more skill to keep with the group because you are constantly trying to adjust your fall rate. If you really want to fly, do a lot of jumps, learn to track in whatever you are wearing, and then get a wingsuit.
havensiangst 0 #6 April 18, 2007 The new pants from www.phoenix-fly.com kicking...buy 1 size bigger than you usually wearing..buy a tight jacket(rainjacket/sportjacket/shell jacket) and put a bungy from thumb to thumb and you flying... good luck! jakee 1,416 #7 April 18, 2007 QuoteWhy do you assume I have tracking problems, because I asked about tracking pants? The Pants and Jacket from Phoenix-fly are pretty much the gold standard for high performance tracking.Do you want to have an ideagasm?
mbondvegas 0 #8 April 20, 2007 Agreed. I have both the PF Suit and the Birdman Pantz. The Pantz are better to fly with others who wear RW for FF suits. The PF Suit is too high performance to play with other who don't have the suit (IMHO). But...if you just want to fly balls to the wall...you can't beat the PF Suit. It is also a good progression program for moving to WingSuiting.- - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
Naptown 0 #9 April 23, 2007 People don't wear tracking pants just to track away after a 4 way jump. Pants (with the jacket) are close to beginner level wingsuits.

kingbunky 3 #11 April 25, 2007 i have absolutely no experience with tracking pants, but if you do a search in the BASE forum (i think it was there) for 'smoke pants' you'll find a cheap alternative to manufactured tracking pants."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." SlipstreamBRO 0 #12 September 28, 2009 I know you're a D license jumper and I am only a B. But what is the purpose of a wingsuit if we are only to "fly our bodies and not suits"? That's a pretty ignorant statement. To me you are assuming that someone who wants to use these is a novice tracker...The PF pants/jacket (which I just made my first jump in yesterday) GREATLY improve the distance once can cover and also make it so that you are in the air longer without being under canopy. So, to say that you should fly your body and not a suit is pretty closedminded. Some people got into this sport to fly. So, the Suit is a natural step toward that and wingsuits. Even a person with 100 jumps can realize that.
