Not sure where you'll be in SA, but if you go to www.para.co.za you'll get a good listing of DZ in SA.

We have three turbine DZ in SA, flying either a Porter, King Air or PAC 750, the rest are all cessna DZ's But fun non the less.

Ler me know if I can be of any furhter help, or a posted above, PM the list. All good folks, and great skydiver to spend time with.

I was just recently at Skydive Durban - wonderful folks out there, and a beautiful view on the ride to altitude. The DZ is about a mile from the shore of the Indian Ocean. Just don't land in Mamba Alley!

Also, one of the nicer 182s I've ever been on.

hello,

Damn you chose a great time to come to SA.
BUT, most of the DZ's in the centre of the country close down for the holidays.

I know there are some boogies happening, but the coastal DZ's will be operating.

It also depends on where in the country you are going to be...

Let's keep in touch!

Cheers
Bev

Check out Skydive Plettenberg Bay. It's a Cessna DZ but the people there are very friendly and the views are amazing (we saw whale and dolphin from the plane!)

My avatar is a sunset pic taken from my home DZ in Pretoria ... so it's really pretty everywhere in SA!!:)

When in Cape Twon Jeffery Bay is the hot spit for surfing,

Dude! Make like you're from here! Jeffries is like, 700 miles from Cape Town. CT is on a Peninsula. In Summer it blows strong South Easter, and Long beach has a good offshore most mornings.

You're right about wavescape though.

(I used to be a surfer in a past life..)

It's the year of the Pig.

Sooo when you are spinning around doing 4 way.. do you spin in the opposite direction when you are in the Southern Hemisphere.;)

I'm quite sure our 5way deathstar would have been on video on teh other hemisphere :D
