Sunpath Javelin delivery time

Does anyone know what is holding up the delivery time on the javelins? I was thinking about ordering, but for the past 2 weeks, the delivery times have been extended. Someone said they were having a technical issue. Does anyone know what that technical issue could be and when things will be back on track?

i'd imagine it has to do with the rsl issue. some jumpers have a tendancy of sending their gear to the mfr to make sure it's done in accordance...or, their rigger is only a sr. the rsl issue has to be resolved with a master rigger.

They have recently switched over to all Skyhook-ready designs, and I know they've been having a few logistical problems with that.

I heard thay changed back to small tuck tubs (like the ones on Javelins 15 or so years ago) that tend to open. Is that true?

Are they all skyhook-READY or all have a Skyhook installed? i.e. can you still get a Jav sans skyhook?

I'm suspicious that the next thing Sunpath will say is you have to jump one of their rigs with a skyhook... kinda like this whole RSL goat roap with their gear.

Hi Zig,

Derek told me in Reno that all future Jav's would come with Skyhook or with RSL similar to Skyhook. In other words, using the curved pin on a lanyard and the 'eye' on a cable.

Now, will that actually be the case; I don't know.

hmmmm...

I'm thinkin' I need to decide whether or not to go buy a new container sooner then later and put it on a shelf before mfgr's start coming out with all kinds of sh*t like this "for our own good" with all sorts of "rules", I'm sure... but, that as they say, is a different story.

AFAIK you can still get one without a skyhook. Someone here got one a few weeks back and it did not come with the skyhook.

Skyhook is an option, without it you get an RSL & Collin's lanyard and they discourage no RSL but acknowledge you may want a system without one (no point revisiting that)
