adventurechick 0 #26 October 16, 2006 I don't have an alarm clock.. (I have one electrical outlet for the whole room, so I have to cut down on electrical appliances)... so I use my phone alarm! I do a very annoying siren sound that wakes me up. PMS #449 TPM #80 Muff Brother #3860 SCR #14705 Dirty Sanchez #
lawrocket 3 #27 October 16, 2006 QuoteWhat sound wakes you up? Usually it's my wife. Or the baby. I usually wake up in the morning at dawn. I dunno why - it's like my body saying, "Daylight. Don't waste any." I NEVER hit snooze. If I can sleep in, I don't set the alarm. Why the hell set the alarm for 5:00 a.m. if I'm not gonna get up until 5:30? My wife is hotter than your wife. Froggy 0 #30 October 16, 2006 At home --- a radio alarm set to a local FM station. At a hotel (and I spend a LOT of time on the road) I always use a PDA and/or a cellphone -- power fluctuations happen way too often to trust an alarm clock in a room, and I HATE wake-up calls with passion... The biggest trouble is when I forget to change a time zone on my Palm... -------------- We were not born to fly. And all we can do is to try not to fall... Michele 1 #36 October 17, 2006 I hate mornings. Especially when I have to drag my sleepy self out of bed at 4:30 to get to studying before an exam (ahem...like today). I set it to an annoying station, which occasionally plays music but mostly just yells and has attitude in the early hours (later it's good for music...), and that gets me wide awake very quickly (a single woman living alone with voices in her bedroom in the dark...yeah, wakes me quickly...). Simon, my siamese kitty, tends to want me to stay in bed because it's warm there...so during the colder months he actually races me to the alarm and has managed to turn it off on occasion (he also answers my cell phone on occasion...). So if it's imperative that I get up early, I have to get it on the first alarm...
