Andy, your Pilot will calm down after a while... I watched a friend pack his literally-never-jumped Crossfire2 a couple of weeks ago and it was comedy, but I was laughing because I used to look the same (and worse) when my Pilot was new.

I won't claim it's a dream yet (packed my mate's Sabre1 for him and was shocked at how easy packing can be), but 80-odd jumps later I don't fear it as much as I used to.

Back on-topic: I have Aerodyne canopies and really love my Pilot, but Icarus are strongly tempting me for my next one. We shall see...

On my second Precision main. Love the canopy (Fusion 190, previous was a Fusion 210), and can't beat the customer service. I'll hopefully be going to a Nitron 170 after this, but that's quite a way off (and I'll need an non-fully tapered canopy to get used to a 170 first)

Jump Shack Firebolt 164 ---soft openings (no matter what the packer does) and easy landings.

For my second Firebolt I'm downsizing to 75 sq .ft. ---get out of my way B|

I wanna shoot video on that Stevie...... :o
Pete Draper,

Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right?

I've got 14 Flight concepts Mantas
11 Skymasters
2 Firebolts
3 Elite 425s
1 PD Sabre
5 Golden Rings!
4 Calling birds
3 french hens
2 turtle dove
And a manta stuck in a tree!

But personally, I use a Firebolt

Hey Sid, How hard was that opening the other day anyway? :P
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

Space - by SkyDepot - which is just another Atair Cobalt (i believe with one minor difference).

Notice that the biggest Cobalt is 150 in production. Your Space might have the same airfoil.

Man you are annoying. Really. REALLY.

if you want to trade links, then here's one from Square1 specifying 170 size:
http://www.square1.com/manufacturers/square1/p1133.asp

and FAQ from Atair specifying a 170 size
http://www.atairaerodynamics.com/FAQ.html

The Space IS A COBALT made by Atair FOR SkyDepot. There are threads on this very website stating what the difference are.

atair's website is so far out of date, that I would take any information available regarding their canopies with a grain of salt.

I've heard on numerous occasions that the cobalt and comp. cobalt are no longer in production, and there isn't even a tidbit of information available online from them regarding any of their BASE canopies.

Would you be so kind to qoute it? Or just go and check the Cobalt order form from Atair.

Solo and Pilot might share the airfoil, but they are not the same canopy.

If you are asking for proof on Cobalt vs. Space , then I assume a post from Dan @ Atair should take your doubts away:
http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=192885#192885 In there he outlines the 2 differences between the Space and Cobalt.
As far as the size - perhaps they are not advertising/manufacturing a 170sq ft now, but they definately were.

I've jumped a 170. I believe that in the past they may have manufactured more sizes.

Dallas Currently jumps a Cobalt 170...

How about letting the steam out of your head? You might not see your display from it and it might cause reading disabilities ;).

Read cobaltdan's post again and you might understand that Cobalt and Space are not the same. If it does not even help just read the label. You know two canopies are the same if and only if both have the same manufacturer and same model name. Simple, isn't it?

You might say that your Space is almost identical with Contrail from PV. It might be even true.

Right now...Triathlon 190 right up until my baby rots out from over my head.

Future? Whatever used canopy I can get for a decent price. New ones are over-priced and it pisses me off that the used market has gone up, too.
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
