Is this cold...?

Recommended Posts

Light Freezing Rain

32°F

Wind Speed: N 10 MPH
Barometer: 30.45" (1031.0 mb)
Dewpoint: 27°F (-3°C)

It is in South Texas. Everything is closing down now, airports, highways, schools.
We can't even drive in tepid rain showers. Imagine what this will do.:S

Nope. Not anywhere near cold. And this is WARM for us in the past week.

-6oC
Flurries
Feels like -11oC
Humidity 90%
Winds W 15km/h
Snow Trace

But I feel for you. If people aren't used to driving in those conditions or are prepared for cold weather, good luck. It's not your driving you have to worry about. It's their driving.

Good luck. Keep warm ... ;);)

Me, I'm happy it's not -30oC with a windchill well above -40oC anymore.

it's DAMNED cold out. I like texas because it's the south and it's supposed to be warm!

I did not even make it outside of the house today. The cold air from the refrigerator was plenty for me... I need to go food shopping tomorrow and get a haircut... but there's a HIGH probability it won't be happening :)

It's my understanding that "cold" is in fact a theoretical temperature in Canada and can not occur without the cessation of all movement on the molecular level.

Actually, you're pretty much right there. There's cold. And then there's FUCKIN' cold. We experience the latter. But we still have the balls to keep moving.

Maybe this will help clarify the difference.
