stitch 0 #1 January 8, 2007 What are some techniques used to move silicone slider bumpers, to change risers/links, etc.?? Other than cutting them off and replacing them every time."No cookies for you"- GFD "I don't think I like the sound of that" ~ MB65 Don't be a "Racer Hater"
AggieDave 6 #2 January 8, 2007 A pullup chord run through the rapid link then through the bumper. Pull the ends apart and it'll slid the bumper off the link. Its also a good trick for putting them back on.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Gene03 0 #4 January 8, 2007 That works and doesn't split the silicone bumpers?“The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him. Stanislaw Jerzy Lec quotes (Polish writer, poet and satirist 1906-1966)
AggieDave 6 #5 January 8, 2007 It works and the only time that I've broken or split a bumper is when it was really old, discolored and brittle. Basically it should have been replaced anyways.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
riggerrob 558 #6 January 9, 2007 Yes, the pull-up cord helps a lot. The other major consideration is grip strength. Quick! What is the difference between good grip strength and great grip strength? Blue versus purple! (sick laughter!!!!!!!)
