Oh, did I mention that I'll need some verification of each of the factiods to be eligible for the super top secret prize?

And why is everyone so surprised I'm interested in this? Didn't you know NASCAR grew out of a bootlegging operation?

Go Here For Any NasCar Drivers History

You will find everything your looking for.

1) Carl Edwards - Rousch - Fenway Racing - Drives The #99 Nextel Cup Car & The #60 Busch Car. Mr "Beginner's Luck" I look for him to break his kneck doing one of his infamous back flips after a win one day. He's nothing more than a big cry baby.

2) Dale Earnhardt Jr. AKA: "Hammer Head" - Drives the # 8 Impala SS Nextel Cup car car for D.E.I. DEI fields 3 Nextel Cup Cars, #8 - #15 & the #1 & One Busch Car, Car #15, Driven By Paul Menard. "Junebug" Formed Jr. Motor Sports with the help of his sister Kelly, He Owns the Monte Carlo SS #88 Busch Car driven By Shane Huffman & sponsored by the Navy. (He Also Owns his own track In Kannapolis, N.C.) He built a replica of the city he grew up in, Kannapolis North Carolina On His Property In Kannopolis N.C. Look for Junebug to splinter off from DEI if Theresa doesn't relent complete control of DEI to him.

3) Denny Hamlin - J.D. Gibbs Racing (JGR Racing, Inc) Coach Of The Washington Redskins. Comes on strong at the first of every year, then fades. He's a great driver, but lacks mentorship which could easily be provided by senior teammate Tony Stewart.

4) Jeff Gordon - Drives the Nextel Cup Impala SS #24 For Rick Hendrick Motorsports & Is The Owner Of The Nextel Cup Impala SS #48 Car Driven By Jimmy Johnson. Jeff has 4 Winston Cup Championship trophies to his credit. He is nick named the "Rainbow Warrior" He, and Dale Sr. were fierce competeters when Jeff hit the Cup Series in November of 1992. (Dale Sr. "Knowed Gordon Up" On More Than One Occasion) Jeff Is The Current Points Leader In The 2007 Nextel Cup Series. Gordon recorded his first Cup victory in the series' longest race, the Coca-Cola 600, in May 1994. Also that year he won the inaugural Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Gordon ended the season with seven top-fives and 14 top-10s to finish eighth in points, beginning a record string of 11 consecutive years of ranking in the top-10 in the final standings.

Gordon began a dominating stretch in 1995 by winning his first Cup title. That season he posted seven victories, 17 top-fives, 23 top-10s and eight poles. The next year he recorded the first of his three consecutive double-digit win seasons with 10, finishing second in points.

Gordon won back-to-back titles in 1997-98 with 10 and 13 victories, respectively. In '97, at age 25, he became the youngest winner of the Daytona 500. His '98 season included 26 top-fives and 28 top-10s in 33 races. Remember, it took Dale Sr. 20 years to win the Daytona 500. He lost, or as he said "I was the first loser" 19 times. He died on the same race track in 2001. Michael Waltrip won that race, and Dale Jr. collected a 2nd place win, the old man would have finished 3rd had he not crashed. He did not wear the HANS device, but insisted that all of his drivers including Junebug to wear them. He called the HANS device a "Hangsman's Noose" and refused to wear it. As a result of his tragic death, NasCar went back to "Square One" installed soft barriers and the HANS device will be worn like it or not.

Gordon won his fourth championship in 2001, beginning a four-year run of finishing in the top five in points. He became the first driver to eclipse $10 million in season earnings in 2001 and holds numerous other records, including all-time money won.

5) Jimmie Johnson - Hendricks Motorsports Team, Drives Jeff Gordon's # 48 Chevrolet Impala SS (They switched from the Monte Carlo SS body Style to the Impala SS for the COT.) Jimmie is a class act. He is the reining Nas Car Nextel Cup Champinion From The 2006 Season.

6) Kasey Kahne - Ray Everham Racing. Drives the # 9 Dodge Charger Nextel Cup Car that Bill Elliot used to drive. He was hand picked by Elliot to succeed him. He will win a title in the future as he is one of Nas Car's most tenacious driver's. Ray Everham was Jeff Gordon's Crew Cheif during Two Of his four Cup Championship Seasons. Jeff has 4 Cups to his credit. Only two other driver's in Nascar History have more: Richard "The King" Petty with 7 Winston Cup Victories, and Dale Earnhardt Sr. With 7 Winston / Nextel Cup Victories To His Credit As Well.

7) Tony Stewart - Drives the # 20 Impala SS Nextel Cup Car Sponsored By Home Depot, Joe Gibbs Racing. he has two Nextel Cup Victories to his credit and he's not done yet by no means. He also owns & Operates his own race track in Indiana. he has his own radio station as well on XM. I love watching his climbing the fence post race victory scherade, it's quite an exibition. He once pulled Bryan Vickers out of his #25 GMAC Cup Car in the garage area post race and slapped him around for about 10 minutes, a stunt which costs Stewart $50,000.00.

Jeff Gordon was racing sprint cars at age 13. Still holds the record for most wins in a single season at Millstream Speedway in Ohio.
Gordon is gay. ;)

Tony Stewart was working in a welding shop when he decided to make an all-out attempt to race professionally. First person to win three seperate racing championships in the same year: USAC Sprint, Midget, and Silver Crown series, any of the three would be a career milestone. Only person to win both IRL and NASCAR races and championships. Only person to finish in the top ten at both Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 and on the same day! Still races sprints and midgets. Owns and operates Eldora Speedway, a "wicked fast" half mile dirt track.
Arguably the most versatile driver anywhere in the world today.

Tony Stewart's nickname, 'Smoke', was given him while racing IRL. Seems he couldn't get the knack of leaving without smoking the tires. He told this story in 2002 at the Phoenix Tony Stewart Fan Club Picnic after taking questions from the fans there.

It's a "Hate" thing. No more, no less. If Jeff Gordon is gay (and it wouldn't matter to me one way or another) he sure hangs out with some georgous transvestites. Jeff Gordon is 3rd all time NasCar winner next to The King & The Intimidator. In fact when Jeff first started driving the Nascar circuit he intimitated the intimidator every now and then. He's never let anyone get to him. He even races Jimmie Johnson hard, even though Jimmie's car belongs to him. I've seen him wreck Jimmie just to collect the checkered flag, guess that makes him gay?

Why is everyone so hung up on this Jeff Gordon rumor? Where did it come from?

Its the manifestation not of what Jeff Gordon is, but what he is not.

- He is not from the south = bad
- He is from California = even worse
- He does not have a southern accent
- His car had a rainbow painted on it for years (Dupont is the sponsor)
- His wives are too hot and his car is too fast
- He became a car owner and hired a guy from southern California

Basically, he is viewed as an outsider. This outsider has been one of the best of all time and people hate him for it. Its similar to how the French feel about Lance Armstrong. People don't like it when you come and kick the crap out of them in their own race.

Jimmie - went to Granite Hills HS in El Cajon with Brian and Marcus Giles (both play for the San Diego Padres)

This stuff is great. Keep it coming!

It's not really a 'rumor" as such, since nobody takes it seriously.
Though Jeff will almost certainly end up 2nd in career NASCAR wins, he will always have the silver spoon image to deal with. I think that is where a lot of the badgering comes from. While almost all his competitors started their careers driving second hand equipment that they built and maintained themselves, Jeff has always had first class equipment to drive. The sprints he drove at 13 were better than anything most guys would ever sit in their entire career. But he could drive the wheels off that stuff! He made some really good drivers look really bad. :D

isn't he fourth? petty (200) , waltrip (84), earnhardt(76), then gordon(75). he'll be 2nd before he hangs it up, but i don't think anyone can mathmatically catch petty.

I'm referring to championship trophies, not total wins in their careers. Jeff has 4 Cup Championship Trophies, Petty & Earnhardt Sr. have 7 Cup trophies each. Smoke has 2 Cup Championship trophies, and Johnson has 1 Championship trophy, and is the reigning Nextel Cup Champion from the 2006 season. Gordon is 1st in points right now. After this upcoming race, whomever is not in the top 35 in points has no chance to make the "Race For The Chase" that's what it's all about, the "Top Ten."

In any event, Gordon is the only active NasCar driver that has a chance to tie the "King" & The "Intimidator," for 7 Cup Championships. If he does win a cup championship, it will be his first Nextel Cup, but his 5th overall championship. The other 4 trophies he has are Winston Cup Series, before the "Greenies" forced the change because they didn't want a cigarette brand associated with NasCar. Ain't that a kick in the head? Nascar's "Freak Factor" is way low.

Whoops, i forgot about that one! O.K. he let it happen once. Matty had no business going to Gordon's pit after that. But, i did notice Gordon had his helmut on when he pushed him. All BS aside, he generally keeps his wits about him.
