I'm moving into a mansion, or not??

Recommended Posts

Ok, so let me get your take on this situation.

I've been given the opportunity to spend a year house sitting a more than million dollar house, free. Yes no utilities and no rent.
Place has a afinity pool and everything.

My problem is this. I own a dang condo and well it's not like it really matters, I'd actually save money not using the utilities there. However I have a roommate that pays me rent, and if we move for a year I would be out that rent. So it kind of would cost me.

However having a sweet friggen house with a pool is just begging me to do it.

Oh and it's only like 2 miles from where I live today so that isn't really a problem.

If I were in your shoes, I'd look at: will I be in a financially better position at the end of the year?
yes - Damn straight I'd do it.
No - I wouldnt do it.

Oh, and a million bucks dont buy you a mansion here in ATL, it buys you a house with a pool. :D

Is there a caretaker there? And is he retired from the British Army? And will he let you drive the Ferrari?:D

I could be financially better off, but not much I'd say.
The roommate actually is the one that has the offer, but he said he would only live there with other people. He just wants someone to take care of his dog.

No he is just a room mate!!!!!!

Oh and I don't know the exact value, but it's on paper mill where if you got in early for a million dollars or slightly more you could have a pretty sweet house.

I guess my problem is moving all my clothes and junk over there. It's like ahhhh what for, if I need something I'll just stop by and get my stuff. But what a pain that could be. ugghhhhh

Leave the mate in the condo and live the high life!!!

Bears repeating.

Now, what you need is a NEW roomie to share the house.
I'm available but you'll need to get your own GF...this door doesn't swing that way.

Why is that a red flag?
Trust me it's nothing shady, he just happens to know half of atlanta. I swear.

I dunno laura I think it would be too much of a house for you to handle. :P
If anyone is staying there it's totally me

All I can say is send me a message when you have the party! I went to a party at a million dollar home off Paper Mill. It was suh-weet. Even had it's own miniature golf course setup. Doesn't have to be a big party, invite people you know would be respectful of others property, that's all.

That is what I'm talking about, thus my dilemma. Parties for a year is all I can think of.
Specially in the summer.

I'll have to talk more with the room mate about this.
