I dont know the name of the one I used but I found it though tucows.com

Just used the demo version that can recover files up to 100K I think (which, for word and mors small excel files was fine)

NTFS or FAT?

Use GetDataBack or GetDataBack for NTFS....they have saved my ass!

PC Inspector File Recovery

saved my life a NUMBER of times. It'll find anything and it'll let you search as well which is the nice part. It took about an hour to scan through my 200GB HD but it found what I needed to get back

I recovered my lost data by Stellar Phoenix Windows data recovery software . Not free but it gives the user to download the free demo which shows the recovered data. If we can see the data through the demo version and are satisfied with the result then we can get the full version to save the data.
