simplyputsi 0 #1 June 4, 2007 So my mom showed me some old pictures she had brought back from her parents house. As I'm going through them, most are me at a very young age, I'm like I sort of remember that, but how long ago was that, and how old was I? It's amazing to me what a picture can do for your memory.Skymama's #2 stalker -
PikzeeVikzen 0 #2 June 4, 2007 I've always found it amazing. Pictures aren't the only things that trigger my memory, smells do it too. I'm the twist that turns your key....
simplyputsi 0 #3 June 4, 2007 Yes smells trigger memories for me as well. I was just amazed because I had to be like 4-5 in most of the pictures and I had some memory of that day/moment. I should of taken some to scan them and post.Skymama's #2 stalker -
MikeJD 0 #4 June 4, 2007 Memory is a strange thing. Do you think maybe you've been shown those pictures before, and what you're actually remembering is the narrative that went with them the first time around? I think sometimes we unwittingly construct memories based on things we're told we did as young children. Video is something else again. When I was growing up families didn't own video cameras like they do now, and not many would have had film cine cameras. I'd like to have seen some moving images of me as a kid. simplyputsi 0 #5 June 4, 2007 No I had not seen these pictures before. They were found in my moms parents house tucked away. There is some video of me real young, but it's not very good. Makes me laugh though.Skymama's #2 stalker -
