normiss 723 #1 September 4, 2007 Has anybody else seen this show? I saw it last night, very skilled dog trainer and he really seems to understand the animals. His "alpha male" treatment of agressive dogs was very impressive. Even pit bull haters would be impressed! He trained a pit to eliminate it's agressive behavior towards other dogs, it was almost amazing. He also has 3 or 4 pitts in his pack of dogs and they're babies! The red nose pitt is also a very good looking dog. Dogs
goofyjumper 0 #2 September 4, 2007 Yup, i love that show. He has taught me a lot. He is amazing, he just kows the psychology of dogs and how humans screw it up. He is starting to get very popular.----------------- I love and Miss you so much Honey! Orfun #3 ~ Darla

BIGUN 1,230 #5 September 4, 2007 As he states, he's not training the dogs; he's training the people. After a few episodes, you'll begin to see the pattern of taking charge of the dog; not letting the dog take charge of you. I think he's providing an excellent service/training for a lot of people. I think the one thing that drives me nuts is seeing people who get a dog, throw them in the back yard and say, "I have a pet dog." But, don't realize there's more responsibility that comes with ownership than just throwing food at it twice a day - playing with them, training them, exercising them, etc.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. Muenkel 0 #8 September 4, 2007 I saw the show for the first time yesterday (I don't own a dog), and it was the exact episode you mentioned. He definitely knows what he is doing. I don't think the dog in that episode was a Pitt though. He was an aggressive little bastard though. _________________________________________ Chris

craichead 0 #13 September 4, 2007 I love the Dog Whisperer! AndyMan and I watched several episodes before getting our dog, and his tips are helping immensely. I always had a dog growing up, and my last dog, a westie, was totally neurotic. Andy also had a neurotic dog as a kid, and now we understand why--we never exercised our dogs properly nor gave them proper discipline, just affection! New season of the Dog Whisperer starts on Friday! I love Popeye--he is the rehabilitated, formerly "red zone" pit bull who lost one of his eyes in a fight. Now he's a big gentle baby! _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
