Becoming a BPA rigger

Recommended Posts

If you've not already, go here and read (among other things) the advanced packers course, basic riggers course and parachute riggers course syllabuses.

Also it almost goes without saying that asking a local rigger about it is something that should be done - after all, when you go for an advanced packers rating you need to recruit a supervising parachute rigger, so it can't hurt to express an interest early.

Getting on an advanced packers course is a matter of phoning up the BPA office and getting a bunch of numbers/suggestions for people who might be running courses and phoning them up. I know Andy Paige [at UK parachuting] is running one a round + square course in November because I'm on it, hoping to go down the same route.

Good luck!
