Most likely you have a ph problem, causing all the stuff you dumped in to stay in suspension instead of dissolving. In fact, all the stuff you dumped in might have caused a ph problem. Besides, the store test will diagnose the whole kit and kaboodle. You've not mentioned total hardness, chlroines, chloramines, metals, algae, etc. There are about 20 factors measured when they test mine; and the solution accounts for what is there plus what will be there in each step of their fix. I'd also recommend going to a cartridge filter. Much better filtration. You do have to take them to the car wash and blast them off; so if you get a lot of debris in your pool that might be required more often than you like. I have to do mine 3 times per year, but the pool is indoors and gets very little crap in it. Last thing; beware of thinking clear water must be good. Test regularly even if it is clear. Like has been brought up before, hire somebody to come twice a month to clean the pool and keep the chemicals in balance. With all the chemicals you're dumping in the water and the frustration it seems to be causing, a 'pool boy" would be money well spent and a bargain at twice the price. The pool guy and the shop tell me to drain the pool now i got rid of the stain. the problem is i can not do that when this country has been going through a drought for the past few years. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . There is no way everything should check out OK if you have cloudy shit that settles to a sediment. It may be your total hardness is out of control. (No porn jokes please, this is serious shit). Something is staying suspended (not disolving and not getting filtered). Everything is not OK. EDIT: OK, saw the post where they recommend water change. That is one of the fixes for uh, uh, . . . I have to admit to forgetting. But I had the same problem. We have very hard water, and that means you have to add something to keep all the calcites disolved. They precipitate out and there is no way to get rid of them but to change water, get a softener, or do what I do and keep them disolved. Changing water does no good unless you have a soft water supply big enough to fill the pool. I'll check my readouts tonight and get back later on the exact nature of my past problem - which I believe was total hardness. Man, draining the pool is a pretty drastic measure in my experience, the only time we ever drained ours was to have it replastered. A good pool man should be able to deal with whatever problem you have with the existing water. Our pool got so bad before the pool guy came into our lives that I expected the Creature From the Black Lagoon to emerge from it some nights but with the proper know how, the pool guy got it straightened out in 2 days. If that green/black sludge could be cleared up, seems like yours can be too. Are you using a pool sweep such as a Creepy Crawley or some such?The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
