NONE! Cant stand em? Which is odd because I like the type of music.

I think ie was some show that they said the Stones had a trained monkey for their opening act in their early days. They also said the monkey got more on chores than they did. Which wouldn't surprise me even today..LOL

Nobody's even mentioned "Parachute Woman" ? That and "Stray Cat Blues" are two of the best songs on Beggars' Banquet.

"Parachute woman, land on me tonight...".

I named Gimme Shelter earlier but really...everything on Beggar's Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile is awesomely good. They put out some absolutely amazing albums in the space of 4-5 years...going back to their first albums up to Aftermath.

On another tangent, I just finished reading Ron Wood's book, "Ronnie" and found it to be a very enjoyable read. I found it very amazing to learn that there was so much interplay amongst all the Stones, Who, Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Faces, Clapton, etc, etc. Woody has played with everybody! But, the Stones best was all done before him.

My knee-jerk was
Little Red Rooster (cover of Willie Dixon's original)
Last Time

But then Sunny mentioned
Paint it Black

...and Lawrocket mentioned
Sympathy for the Devil.

...and the mention of Their Satanic Majesties Request made me remember
2000 Light Years from Home
She's a Rainbow

I'd have to go with all six.

Question:
Does anyone still have the Their Satanic Majesties Request album with the "hologram" pic on the front?
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.

I knew there was a reason I liked you. :D

"And I was so pleased to be informed of this, that I ran 20 red lights in his honor.

Thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord."

Funny thing is I think the first time I heard that song was one night on the radio when I was driving alone. I could not stop laughing.

Same thing for me.
The radio dj said, "...and that was Far Away Eyes by the RS...".
"Huh? That can't be right."

Actually, some of my fav songs are ballads.
"Almost Hear You Sigh" is kind of a romantic song.

"Shattered", off the Some Girls album, w/ "Gimme Shelter" a very close second.

It's funny, but the new year made me think of the Stones, and then this thread shows up - weird.

I'm not a huge Stones fan, but your list definitely got my attention! Still, my favorite would be CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING. That wonderfully tight jam at the end is what does it!

I'm pretty sure an old friend still has his original 3D Satanic Majesties Request album. BTW, I still have my original release Thick as a Brick album, with it's 14 page "newspaper" cover. "Who's Fluffy Duck talking to this week?"

I usually can't stand rock bands doing soppy emotional ballad type songs, but for some reason I just love Angie. Brilliant song.

Stop having the same opinion as me jakee. You're just freaking me out!:P:D
