Chrissay 0 #1 February 3, 2008 I'm just wondering the best way to archive photos so they don't take up room on your hard drive. What I usually do is upload them to ofoto.com and then burn them onto CD. Is this a good way to make sure my photos stay safe? I would hate to lose any of them ... cdubs 0 #2 February 3, 2008 You are doing the perfect thing! When I am trying to safe stuff for clients, I upload them to a place like ofoto so it's outside of my office, I burn a CD, Keep them on the hard drive of my laptop and then place them on an external harddrive in a different part of my home. Now, this is all a little extreme if you're not shooting for a client. But most definitely, burn them to a CD, put them in a jewel case that is labeled and then catalogue them somewhere like a book case or filing cabinet. good luck! courtney
PWScottIV 0 #3 February 3, 2008 It's good that you burn them onto CD, as it could be pretty risky relying on ofoto.com to archive your photos exclusively and indefinitely... If they get purchased by another company, your pictures could conceivably be removed.Gravity Waits for No One.
