Your 2008 Non-Skydiving Goals

Recommended Posts

We had a thread about skydiving goals, but I'm sure there are some who are working on other things outside of skydiving as well.....right??

Anyways, I thought it'd be cool to see what people are working towards or achieving in 2008...

So what might you be doing in 2008?

And yes working on getting laid more is a reasonable goal to list....:P
Puttin' some stank on it.

And a road that goes forever

And a party that never ends:P

Bonus if you can name the singer and song those two lines came from!! LisaH, pay attention, that is NEED TO KNOW info for living here.:P:D

Actual lyrics are "The road goes on forever and the party never ends."

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Good luck Lisa!!!

I guess its only fair to answer my own question...

1. Continue trying to get my body in better shape
2. Hopefully get into grad school (just applied actually)
3. Keep learning and becoming a better engineer
4. Enjoy my life and be happy as a 23 year old and have no regrets :)

Puttin' some stank on it.

Robert Earl Keen, "The road goes on forever":D

My goals for 2008 are to grow my business, get healthy and stay that way, and to get scuba certified.:)

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

2. Become healthier, mentally and physically. (mostly physical)
3. Expand and improve my guitar playing.
4. Save more money.
5. Stay out of debt.
6. Maybe get my own apt. (even a studio apt).
7. Improve at playing chess.

Is the song TEXAS by Chris Rea?

- Build significant pieces of The Product for my latest startup to improve scalability and reduce costs for internet companies.
- Hire some exceptional minions of evil to help because I'm too old and married to have work hours defined as "when not sleeping"
- Walk down stairs normally. Broken bones stink.
- Get better at welding because there should be a lot of it in my future.
- Build a set of Pitts 12 ribs. 52 ribs and 52 weeks are NOT a coincidence.

1. Run my first marathon, and do it in a good time (4 hrs is the current goal and looks attainable)
2. Save money (first year of getting a real paycheck is done, time to be serious with the loot)
3. Repeat #1 but with a better time.

Being pretty new to skydiving, it's pretty hard to think about goals in other areas right now, but...

Play my sax well when the I play with the college jazz band in February

Publish the calculator skills workbook that I signed with a publisher to do

De-clutter my house. I think skydiving is going to take precendence over the Christmas craft kits, scrapbooking and assorted stuff I was planning on doing once upon a time. B|:D

Run a 5k race in 35 minutes this year

safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy

The goal I'm working on for 2008 is moving to Texas by July. Fingers crossed. :)

Dang. I wished I had stayed in Texas.:P

My goals? Finish the remodel job on the house, lose another 5 pounds, and spend more time woodworking and shooting. I hope to spend more time with my family and help my son get started skydiving.:)

1. Continue to get into better shape
2. Start a sport that will help goal #1
3. Get the babies to talk (been a goal for 10 years, but we'll get there.) B|
4. Net worth of $1 million by December 31st. I just want to see it in print; I'm well aware that what's on paper is different than what you can spend...but I've always wanted to say to myself, "I'm a millionairess!" -partly because I don't think 'millionairess' is an actual word, but if I is one, I's can say it howevers I's want to! ;)
5. And the other goal we've had for a number of years: GET THE *&%$ OUT OF WASHINGTON STATE.

Goal #4 should help accomplish everything else. B|

Graduate in May with a 3.9 gpa or higher and find a job with a good EMS unit, preferably one that will pay my way thru Paramedic school. Secondly, but equally as important, Be an even better mom to my kids, learn from my mistakes and make more of an effort to treat everyone the way I like to be treated. And lastly, to live, laugh and love like everyday is my last.;)
