. . .what the heck is that cutaway system? R3's?

You bet! Nuthin' but state of the art for ME! ;)

Actually, all that stuff WAS state of the art back in '75. You were upscale!

You could have had a KAP instead of a Sentinel, capewells instead of R3's, and old combat boots instead of Adidas jump boots. Like with my 1st jump in '78 (see attached photo). I did have a cool Capt. America helmet though.

But that's from later, isn't it? My memory is that R2's and R3's didn't come out until a little later.

And congrats. My 33rd is about now, but since my first few logbooks took a trip with my rigger's kit many moons ago, I don't know exactly when I made my first jump; just June 1975...

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Yeah...it was a real progressive dropzone. :)
I had to hold the pilots beer for him during take off...

Yeah, that'll get your attention.

At a now-closed Florida DZ, the pilot had one of those little swivel can-holders mounted on the pilot's door, so that he could put his beer in there, and no matter how he climbed, dived, or banked, his beer wouldn't spill.
