computer audio help

Recommended Posts

I moved my computer to another room and all of a sudden any audio from the internet is muffled (barely hear anything), but all other audio works. Its just audio from the internet (hope this makes sense)

Any idea? I redid all the connections and still the same thing? Wierd!

Are there internet specific settings for audio i'm not familiar with?

(lets see how long it takes for someone to mention porn ;) )

Just checked it again. Sound is all the way up. Wouldnt make sense anyway being the sound is fine for everything except 'online' sounds.

Any other ideas?

Not as such, no - however, open up windows media player and/or any other streaming media players you use and check the volume settings in them.

Reinstall the drivers

Why? It's only sound through internet stuff that he's having problems with - that's not a driver problem, more likely a lowered volume on a windows media player or quicktime plugin (more likely WMP, if I recall correctly, quicktime defaults to full volume).
