Scoop 0 #1 July 19, 2008 Well, I got myself a Boardman Team mountain bike a few months back: http://www.boardmanbikes.com/ I had been riding it to and from work quite alot and was beginning to regret my purchase. Riding it was such hard work. The gearing was all too high, the position too racey.... BUT THEN I TOOK IT INTO THE WOODS YESTERDAY (for the first time I'm ashamed to say)... Wow, what a bike. Its so damn fast its scary as hell but its easy to throw around too being so light. Spent hours in the woods yesterday finding all the trails and was permanently grinning from ear to ear. Had a few narrow escapes where I had to bail off the run where I overcooked it and dodge some trees but what a laugh. I'm not a hardcore mountain biker so I don't know what the opinions are on the scene but I really love it. Anyone else tried a Boardman bike? I'm thinking of getting one of the road race bikes soon too.
Zep 0 #2 July 19, 2008 Not being to well up on these things, I was under the impression that Mountain biking, Green laneing or any other enjoyable pass time had been taxed out of existence or outlawed in good old EnglandPity you can't bring the bike out here, we got trails that'll put your stomach in your mouth, That said, thats a really nice bike. Scoop 0 #3 July 19, 2008 It's too hot out your way for all that nonsense. A nice English overgrown shadowy woodland is what you want . Luckily they haven't taken the decision to tax air, YET, so mountain biking is allowed for the moment. Just have to tell the dog walkers to pick their shit up. Don't fancy face planting in dog shit.
