Anyone Messing Around with Chrome?

The new Google browser is supposed to be available today. Anything ground breaking? Should I drop Firefox right now?

From what I've been reading, it's more of an IE killer, but I'm just curious more than anything.

When I read this I was thinking "nope, I just got most of the chrome bits back from the blaster where they were blasted and powder coated a gloss black, which looks much better..."

Same here....and it's getting harder to find a chroming shop due to the EPA regulations anyway.

Ceramic coatings are also nice.

it doesn't seem that fancy to me. cooler than IE definitely, but more or less very comparable to explorer. Firefox still has my vote...

however, I do like the little opening "most visited websites" page..

I'm tinkering with it now. So far I like it - seems very fast, and I like the idea that each tab runs in it's own process. Plus the rewritten javascript engine should show good improvements (will test it at work tomorrow).

So far my only complaint is that my touch pad will allow me to scroll down, but not up - not sure if it's a driver issue, or a bug - once again will test tomorrow at work :)

I just downloaded it and like it's clean lines... I'll use it for a while and see how it compares to my current favourite - Opera.

I like it so far. Seems to be nice and quick. Haven't had any problems yet.

I know that it's a big Ask (especially from Google, the king of the adverts)... but No Ad Blocker (yet).

Does seem fast though.

compared to firefox, faster starting up and faster browsing. no useful extensions like "IE tab" yet though. nice how there's no header bar on top, more browser space on your monitor.

Inline spell check: good
Fast startup: good
Fast browsing: good

Messed up color palettes on some webpage: very bad (makes my intranet unusable)
Weird font: bad (I dont know... the letters seem thinner... makes the webpages somewhat harder to read)
